What goes into a family portrait session with me?!

First we schedule a phone consultation where we find out if we are a good fit together. I discuss what goes into a session, planning the location, style, and what you are looking to do with your images. You will be more confident during your session after this!

Second, we book out shoot day and we have some fun for all ages during our session together. You and your family will have wonderful memories created full of joy and connection!

Third, I upload and edit a selection of the best images and edit. Making sure the colors are perfect and skin tones looking their best. You will have images that are print ready and shareable!

Fourth, you will receive an online gallery where you can choose your digitals and the images to print depending on what your purchased. You will always walk away with tangible memories that last a lifetime!

I am starting my school portrait season in September and it always brings to mind the excitement that comes with starting a new year. My senior year I was looking forward to finishing high school and everything that came along with it!

Getting ready for senior portraits, class trip, collages applications and of course having my own car to drive to school ( no wonder I had friend, lol )

Couple sessions aren’t something I share much on my account so I wanted to share this one!

I asked them, without saying it, to show me what their super power would be.

She covered her face. Confused I asked what she meant.

Her super power would be the ability to be invisible.

The laughter in these images were priceless.

During my family session I make room to have images of the parents to highlight the relationship that started it all!

We all do things differently but this is a big No form me!

Why? Because my favorite thing as a kid was through old family albums hearing the stories connected to them.

When you only have digitals the can be easily forgotten, lost on a usb in some drawer or computer or hard drive crashes.

My packages consist of both digitals and printed products so you can share with family and friends online and see them every day on your walls, desk and coffee tables. That way you can look at them and be reminded of the joy and the stories behind creating them.

Why I got into photography⁠
⁠
I was lucky enough to know great, great grandparents, and they had photo albums on their coffee tables. I used to love looking through them and seeing them when they were young, which usually sparked a story or two about that day or that time in their lives. ⁠
⁠
I loved learning about them and where I came from; maybe I was like them, and I felt like I belonged.⁠
⁠
That's what got me taking photos, whether it was Polaroid, film, or digital, I was taking photos so I could remember the stories that meant something to me, and I could tell them when I was old and gray. Remember the fun times and the people I spent my time with.⁠
⁠
And that's what drives me to photograph families today. I hope you print your images that have them around the house and tell stories about the dinosaur you had to carry with you everywhere, even in your family portraits, and no longer have because you loved something new. Or sweet moments of your little one needing your hug for comfort that they don't need the same anymore as they grow up.⁠
